Like vehicle parking lots and transfer stations, roadways contribute large amounts of waterway runoff pollution during storms. In addition, heavy vehicle traffic increases the frequency of accidents and hydrocarbon spills.
Hundreds of municipalities and local Department of Transportation agencies address this problem by using the Stormceptor® System, from Rinker Stormceptor®. The Stormceptor® easily installs into a new or existing storm sewer to capture spills and treat storm water runoff. The precast concrete Stormceptor® is designed to handle all traffic and vehicle loading applications. The system’s vertical orientation provides less disruption to nearby utilities than most conventional treatment systems.
The Stormceptor® System is designed in 12 unit sizes for In-Line, Inlet, and Submerged pipe applications.
